Had mine out last Friday for a 120 mile run, it sure felt good, not old.
If you are feeling lazy the torque from 3,000 rpm up is vey nice for leaving corners quickly in what might seem a too high gear.
Was riding with a friend who was on a big Beemer 1200 rt ,2011 model, 110 HP, but 640 pounds with fuel and a very tall bike due to adventure/tour style suspension.
On a straight at full bore it would be no contest of course, but in the afternoon we found some dry twisty roads and he couldn't keep up to the Norton. Then we switched bikes and I couldn't keep up. He had never ridden an old English bike before and was expecting it would be a gutless old clunker, so he was pretty shocked at the power, handling and braking (thanks Madass)
There is something to be said for the way the Brits, especially Norton, designed their bikes with handling at the forefront.
