Missing Nortons in the bedroom

Rode out to Tillamook, Oregon yesterday to look at some Nortons that has been stored inside a house for ten plus years. Owner may end up selling them after he gets them running. Also had lunch at a funky little place right across the street from the Tillamook Cheese Factory. On the way back we took a “shortcut” that went up and over Sheridan Peak. Sheridan Peak is 3000 ft although we weren't at the top. The whole day was almost 200 miles of Oregon’s windiest roads. Bonus point if you can guess which of the three bikes didn't have an issue.

And yes, there will be a video released in the future. But you already knew that.

I was surprised they were in the bedroom as there was room in the garage. There was something utterly tasty in the garage too.

Well, until a month ago, there was an Esprit S4 taking up space in the garage. That thing was pretty wide. With it gone, I could make everything fit. I really appreciate your helping me get them out the sliding door and down the stairs; really can't thank you enough. I have no idea how I did that myself in the past, but getting old is a bitch. The plywood where the centerstands were is gone, and thankfully no stains are there. The carpet and foam is a bit flattened, but all is surprisingly good.

Those Ikon shocks on the Interstate do look just like Big T's Konis.

So where do the tripod and drone get stored on a motorcycle? I don't see panniers.

You let us know if there is anything else we can do for you, I'm bummed we couldn't get to see the Esprit. But we certainly enjoyed all of your other toys. I really do think you should keep one of the bikes and getting the MkIII more user friendly would be very easy.

Although the bag was relatively heavy it so well designed that you don't really feel the weight.

The drone bag is incredibly compact.

My Norton lives in my spare bedroom. I don't have a garage, and realized it would be impossible to keep my commando from turning to shit if I left it out in the elements every day... It spent a single winter season once rapped up in plastic under a covered porch area, and didn't fair well by my judgement, so it was stored inside either my home or my shop when it wasn't being ridden from that point onward.

I have to go up 2 1/2 steps to get into my house. I run the bike up a 2 x 12 to get on the deck to roll it into the house. I've done it so many times it's not a big deal anymore. One look at the condition of those bikes that were stored inside and I know I'm doing the right thing keeping my bike inside...

I love the green bike with it's cast wheels...

Oh no, I won't tell my son that... He was lamenting their increase in value just the other evening.

The bedroom is a much more comfortable place to work. I spoke with a gentleman recently who has a restored early Triumph trials bike in his wardrobe room.

The garage is now dry and snug. It was not always thus. I originally started parking them in the back bedroom way back. In 2999, the house was raised. 36" duh to flooding. I had started parking bikes in the living room prior to that. I had a ramp to get them in and out, but a carport got in its way. New man door and thresholds straightened the garage out. Then a rotten old shed was replaced with a heated insulated one. Again, I really appreciate the help in moving them.

In my teens I visited a young rocker in lewisham (UK) Actually I was only really interested in his sister, He had built a BSA B31 in his bedroom at the top of his parents 3 storey house. We decided it was time to see if it would run. We started to manhandle it down,All went ok for the first two floors but the last flight was longer and we were tired. Off it went with the footrest taking out the wood uprights. At least they slowed it down. I left pronto, never returned,boy she was pretty ,way out of my range.
