And the bedroom would be built the same as the rest of the house, unless its a add on and built with different timber.

My house is 65 years old and all built out of hardwood, it don't creak at all:D.

That is a custom Bill Stewart I had made in the 90s for a trip to Yakutat. Its a good board, and a Hydro Hull. Its pretty thin, with a light glass job. I don't know if he shaped it himself. He did shape my first Hydro Hull. I bought it off the rack. I was parked at Old Man's after walking back from Trestles, and he stopped and asked me about it. I ended up leaving that one in Yakutat, and a generation of locals learned on it. I had a guy in Oregon copy it before that. I like the lively feel of the twin concave tail. Haven't been in the water lately. Shoulder issues. My wife bought me that yellow 8' pin tail in 1976. 25th birthday Present. We weren't married until last year though.

The yellow board has a very simple 70s plan shape, and flat bottom. Rails are a bit hard all the way through. Its a product of its time. My old roommate's girlfriend knew the shaper, Bill Zubrod. It is very stiff to ride. fast in trim, but doesn't turn very well. Nice hanging on the wall though.
