Members in the Philadelphia area

Hi All, Greg from Perth West Australia. MY eldest son is moving to Philadelphia later this year for a couple of years to study. Planning to visit for Christmas this year and again in June/ July next year when the riding weather is a bit better.. Will likely hire a bike out for a week or two and have a look around. Would be keen to know if there is any active Norton groups in that part of the world and maybe any special events/rides that I could perhaps plan my travel dates around. Would be great to hook up with a ride with some of the locals( although I wouldn't be on a Norton)

I live a little up north of Philly (1 hr) but I commute to work in Glenside which is just above the city limits. The local Norton club is the Delaware Valley Norton Riders. There is generally either a ride or get together at someone's house or a local roadhouse every month. I am not really a good club member because I don't go to many (I guess any) of these meetings.

The roads up in northern Bucks County and along the Delaware River are amazing. If you like we can get together for a ride. I'd sure be willing to take a day off for something like that. I can forward you some e-mails which detail some of the upcoming events in this area and nearby. June is a good month for events in general. Some good ones are the Auburn MA all British meet and the AMCA Rhinebeck NY meet. Also there is the Jampot rally in Pittsfield MA which is historically loosely Matchless-oriented but not officially affiliated with any club - all bike makes are welcome. (We don't need no stinkin' club.) These are not super close but worth a trip.

Where is your son attending school? My daughter lives in Philly (teaching) and my youngest son is trying to make up his mind about going to Temple law school this Fall.
