Looking at the prices for re-sleeved lockheed MC's and they seem a bit too high. Found this option from Nissin, it's a 12.7mm version for 7/8" bars, and has a builtin brake light switch that's compatible. Should be able to find a male/female brake line adaptor which will allow me to use the venhill line I have... it's only $150 and (kind of) matches the stock in look...

edit.. found an appropriate adapter, Male M10 x 1.25 Bubble to Female 3/8"x 24 Inverted

I went the 1/2" flea-bay route on mine. http://www.ebay.com/itm/Universal-Motor ... OD&vxp=mtr for 55 USD. It takes a banjo adapter to connect to your line.

How would you rate the improvement?

Day and night. The 1/2" piston gives a substantial ration increase over the stock piston. Two-finger operation at any time, although I may have tainted my findings by having the chrome blanchard-ground from the disc at the same time.
Of course, it can't make up for the single disc and its inherent overheating trouble with repeated applications, but it's great for all around riding.

I addressed this some time ago, 1/2" which accepts the Lucas switch block and brake light wires.

I got the brembo master cyl. from CNW a few years ago ,added SS brake line and new HH pads I think maybe ... anyway big difference ... in a good way , pretty much 2 finger stopping ...

Just had mine re sleeved. With old pads and original brake lines it seems to have made a hell of a difference. Keeps original look. Kit from RGM is about £60.

I'm a satisfied customer for this master cylinder connected to a stock caliper and disc. Great for it's plug and play attribute. Some of the other solutions here cannot use the stock switch cluster.

Using Andover Norton 13mm master cylinder that they have just introduced - bailed me out on the M3 at speed!! I can notice the front disk wearing now and not just getting polished as in the past.
