I have a set. I'm working out a few kinks on the carb side with some new Amal Mk2's, but when I do, I should be able to do side by side dyno runs with my old system. They sound great (loud, but great). Anecdotaly, the bike seems to pull more strongly from 5500 to 7500 rpms - as one would expect with 1 5/8" x 32" primaries. Midrange still seems good. Low-rpm torque, while slightly less, is still more abundant than on my modern bikes.
A few notes:
They arrive raw, unfinished - so factor in ceramic TBC and some time polishing the alloy bits. Also, mine run too close to the left sidecover to retain it. I'm debating bending the exhaust or having another sidecover fabbed. They run quite close to the left shock as well. The standoff mount I made for the upper bracket keeps it off the shock - but there isn't room for the seat knob. If you cut that bracket off and move it forward, you might be able to mount it to the top shock bolt with the seat knob, but then it would be solid-mounted and would cause other problems.
In short, I wouldn't call this a straight bolt-on for a street bike.
