Making the Commando faster

Someday I'll be too old for hot rods but in the mean time suppose Peel's low boost engine was run on nitromethane and put in a stream liner? Would the CR have to be knocked way down and would that be made up for in higher rpm and fuel pressure? I think crank could take the torque with normal rpm limit but would the head stay put or cases crack? I can't bring myself to picture riding a naked Commando even Peel as fast as nitro might push it to, traction permitting and tires rated for it. Peel ain't my long term keeper, my nothing special Trixie is.
