Mainshaft thread under clutch lifter in gearbox?

Thanks L.A.B , had a good look for that - Norvil site, RGM etc. OldBritts site says all fasteners are Whitworth but that would be 12tpi. Guess it just means 7 nuts inner cover plus other screws. Looks like cycle thread.

Needing a whitworth spanner does not mean the thread is Whitworth, it can be BSF, BSW or Cycle as they all use Whitworth dimensioned heads and on Brit bikes cycle is the dominant thread when whitworth heads are used.

Thanks, bruised mainshaft end getting inner cover on after rebuild. Nut wont go on. Will probably just carefully grind part of first thread away as there is excess or buy a die.
