I need to wire in a fuse at the battery, it'll be a blade type, what size / amps would work?
Thanks

Original was 17.5A in todays money (half the labelled 35A  ) so 15A or 20A will do.

Alright, thanks. I had searched and found the old type at "35 blown", so I wasn't sure how that would translate to now.
Thanks again,
MIKE

Hi- I recently wired one in on my bike- I went to the auto parts store, and they sell a lovely clear, watertight plastic case fuse holder. Cheap, just a couple bucks, but it looks good and protects the fuse nicely. Haven't had any trouble with a 20 amp fuse. Good luck!

I've used a 15 amp inline 3AG fuse for 35 years. It blows when something shorts, like it should.
Figure 4.5 amps for headlight, 2.5 amps for tail light and blinkers, 2 amps for ignition. 50% oversize is 15A.

Mine had a 30A when we removed it. It's just one of the many things on my bike that was horribly wrong.
