I have a Joe Hunt mag for my P11 motor, anyway I can run an electric tach?

I have a small electronic tach that has its own battery inside it and a cable that raps around a spark plug lead which pics up the pulse of the spark and give a digital read out, it is made for petrol engines without a tacho, I am going to mount in on my handle bars for my Joe Hunt, I am not sure where you get them as a friend gave it to me a few years ago.

Yes, I put the guys at Smiths Gauges on to this little unit a few years back.
They now recommend it for use with their digital tachos

A lot of racers use the Scitsu unit as they have a magneto and no other power source on the bike, but I was looking for a more OE appearance
