Dear all,
i have two lucas rotors in good shape.
On the first is stamped n. 212000: this has only one timing notch;
on the other the n. 54212000 L, and in other side n. 14173: this has two timing notch.
Please, what is the differences and wich is better to mount?.

Both Will Work.
Use The One With The Stronger Magnetism.

Thanks for the prompt reply.
Please, can you explain to me a method to test which of the two has the best magnetic rotors?.
Ciao.

stick it on a verticle steel face such at your refrigerator or tool chest. The one that stays in place the best is the one to use.

See which magnets are harder to pull a screw driver off or how much each will pick up. Then try to wipe off the ferric dust the magnets collect, at least in my shed. Most critial feature is the center is still solid fixed to surrounds. If ya can't tell then you've got either two weak ones or two good ones which should easy hold their own mass from falling magnetically.
