lucas rita coil

i would like to run my lucas rita ignition with a single coil twin HT lead coil,can someone tell me what ohm coil i should use? cheers baz

a 3 ohm coil will work BUT the rite does not play well with a single coil as it is an extended dwell Ign IE it keeps the coil on for to long and will shorten its life. you are much better off with the stock coils.

Ok thanks for the info my lucas coils are over 40 years old and still working well so maybe i should just keep them! cheers baz
