Thanks, Kber.
The brake is a 12"disc from RGM, with also a Grimeca Caliper from the same. I also fitted a master cylinder off a 1973 Suzuki gT750 which has a smaller diameter piston. I grafted the original switchgear to the back of it. I seem to remember a ratio of about 25:1 is what to go for. This equated to a pison diameter of 12mm, I think. The brake is bedding in nice. I used the kevlar pads in the caliper, once they have some heat in they are great.
The 18" rim allowed me to lower that bit more and still have clearance before the tyre touched the mudguard. (i.e. more available travel).
I also took an inch an three eights off the centre stand, to allow me to continue using it. Did you remove any off yours?
Other mods from standard are:
A belt drive with sureflex clutch plates (running dry), which is fantastic, one finger operation!
Boyer analogue electronic ign..jury is out on this one..keep getting kick back on starting..
K & N filter system onto a new set of amals, all of which seems to work great.
Roller bearing on gearbox layshaft. I was told to do it so I did.
I also put those 'racing' headlight shell mountings to throw the shell a bit further forward.
I also have a Triton, which I did a few years back. (you can just see it lurking in the garage on the photo. I have a twin leader on now, but otherwise it is as you see...
