Expecting to take some vacation in the LA area around the 4th of July. Are there any shops, swap meets, etc that I should be looking for?

LA is a big place, though. If you've got a bike with you or are renting one look into the Ortega Highway (from San Juan Capistrano - halfway to San Diego) and the Angeles Crest Highway for a day-run.

There is also the museum at Solvang, north of LA. Although, I haven't personally got there yet.

There is a vintage motorcycle club that meets at a pizza shop at Brookhurst and Bushard in Huntington Beach on the secon Sunday of the month from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm. There are usually quite a few bikes (30 to 50) in nice weather. Always some Nortons
