Hi to all,
I am currently looking for a new, near new or really good looking used handle bar for my '74 Interstate. What I desire is a bar that has slight raise and nearly no pull back. I would say they should be nearly flat aside from the raise. Anyone how has a bar or knows of any can email me a picture is possible. Thanks much!

Handle bars...

Thanks guys, but still looking actually. didn't see anything that had a small pull back and flatter angle on the rise. maybe a BSA or japanese bar is an option.

Handlebars for your Norton

I live in West Texas and earlier this summer rode out to Myrtle Beach. I stopped by Skinners Cycle Salvage in Auburn Al. He has a warehouse full of old Norton, Triumph, BSA and more parts. I found an old set of 50's style racing hangle bars which I put on 73 Norton 850. Makes the bike look great, much easier riding also as I dont have to lean so much forward. The bars also fit perfectly with not having to buy new cables, just rearange abit under the tank. You can find them on the internet, give them a call, was a good bunch of guys to deal with. Think I paid $10.00 for them which I considered a true bargain. semper fi devildog

handlebars

I liked BMW R90S bars (Magura). These have a very low rise, but do have some pullback. BMW R100RS bars have no rise at all and some pullback. The problem with the R90S bar is if you have a stock front brake master cylinder it only fits in one position and that isn't perfect for the lever position.

Re: handlebars

David,
Yes that is the problem I have now. I am running with Ace type bars and the uncomfortable position has finally got to me. I will however take a look at my friends BMW and see if it is possible. The biggest problem I have with bars is that my Interstate tank is so big, it limits the type of bar i can use.
thanks for the info.
Eric
