More important, the 850 nuts are shorter and require the split collets, where the 750 nuts fit directly against the header flange.Those are 850 nuts on your bike by the way. Original 750 components have smaller fins and look a bit more "Nortonish"

I have seen several 750 pipes using 850 nuts and no collets with two or three exhaust gasket rings piled in between the flange and head. Not a good idea to keep the pipes tight.
