Hello all,

Has anyone used the RGM locking petrol cap?, is it any good?, are there any alternatives out there, cant see one on the Andover Norton site, really do not want to have that big old Interstate tank full up with fuel, where anyone can just flip open the petrol tank cap!!,

Thanks,

John

Some fabrication required...
Locking petrol tank cap

I think one of the two prototypes had a locking cap, but it's so long ago, I can't be sure. The tanks were nothing like the sleek ones that the production models had, so the cap may not even have been the same.

Sorry I can't be more help.

I have a new, uninstalled Ceandes locking cap that I bought from Burton Bike Bits and won't be using on my project. I will sell it for what I paid $93.33 shipped (lower 48 U.S. states only!).

Thanks for the reply's, very nice snorton74, if I were painting my tank I would fit a flush cap, very nice indeed, series three Jag, very interesting Kerinorton, a difficult one for me to check out though.

Nice offer unclviny, I am a bit far away, lol.

Frankdamp, thanks, I will see if I can find some photos of the prototypes, would be interesting to see.

I would of thought a locking fuel cap would of been a popular upgrade, I might contact a few shops and see if any more are about, thanks all,

John

Ceaddess seem to be the only people making petrol caps in the UK, there locking cap is very nice. You will find hundreds of Indain made ones available more cheaply, but I would not trust the chrome.

Thanks chasbmw, I had not heard of Caeddes before, checked them out online, and thats the make that RGM list, nice to hear they are of good quality, sorry for very late reply!!, not been on for a bit!,
