Shouldn't be too hard if they've got paying clients lining up for that many.
 
Since he's been dead for 30 years, I would think that getting him to sign 300 gas tanks would be a whole lot tougher than finding the engines.

Pretty bike, but 20K, yikes. Either there are to many people with too much money or a lot of suckers out there. At least this has lights, half the price and way cooler.

I don’t get it: yes it is a lot of money but why being so negative and insult people with terms like suckers?? Where does it say there is a limit price to anyone passion? For how much can YOU build this bike starting only with an engine, in need of everything, and create everything around it?? I’d love to have one but I do not let my envy/jalousie dictate this kind of jerk reaction…

So is a Triumph unit engine, wheels and suspension AND the Steve McQueen replica signature worth and extra $17K? Not to most folks.

What's a rebuilt 650 cost? Would you pay $5K for one? Front and rear suspension? $2k? Wheels $2k?

Must be one hell of a signature. :roll:
 
Dave, I figured about the same as you I guess I am a too abrasive for some, but just can't help but blurt out the obvious when I see it sometimes. I think the fake signature actually detracts from the value and makes me think about how some ass hat butchered the von dutch name for the sake of cheesy profit, not to mention you could probably buy an original metisse for half the cost.
