6V positive ground machine. Picked up a headlight that has one of those Red glass dots on the headlight shell for HiBeam. Its powered by those fuse type glass bulbs. I replaced it with an LED one (Not polar specific) and heres the issue. Its wired in series with the Headlight bulb but wont work when the Headlight Bulb is plugged in. When I unplug the headlight it comes on ? Anyone encounter something similar?

It should be in parallel with the headlight bulb, not in series. In series, both would be dimmer if they worked. And the last thing you need on a 6V system is a dimmer headlight.

Thanks I didnt know that. I'll reconfigure the wiring and post the results

I tried it with the same result. No light from the LED unless the Headlight is unplugged

Now that's just weird. Every electrical load in the system is in parallel with every other. They shouldn't affect each other. Is it possible that you're testing with a low voltage? LEDs act strangely since they require a minimum voltage to light. If the headlight is drawing the voltage down, it could be below the threshold.
