Hi Lads,

Looking for some pictures of a Norton Commando (ideally an ES MK3) with Krauser panniers rails fitted.

I got a used Krauser K1 system a while back but there are lots of brackets!!!

Happy New Year to all Norton Nuts around the world :D

Kevin

The system I have is like this: http://w6rec.com/duane/bmw/bags/krauser/T_set.jpg

I can figure out the two rear mounting points, top of shock mount & exhaust or footpeg mount but the rear mount is more difficult.

It would really help if somebody had a similar setup on their Commando & could post a few pics.

Thanks in advance.

Back again :D

Thought I'd post a few pics on how I'm getting on, it might help others?

This is all still at the mock-up stage so no nasty comments about my dodgy bolts

I've got two mounts sorted at what I'll call the front, top & bottom of the frame.

The problem I have is where to find a fixing for the rear?

There is a sliding bracket which bolts the rear of the frames together but it does not give any support.

Any suggestions on where I can get a mounting point from?

Thanks in advance

Kevin

I assume this photo shows where you want a mount? Do you want something that clamps around the frame and then you attach the rack? Does the rack manufacturer offer any universal clamps?

Hi,

Thanks for the reply.

Krauser no longer make these frames so they cannot supply any fitting kits

Some type of clamp which would go around the rear loop might work.

Is there a "Clamp-R-US" shop somewhere on the internet?

Kevin

Hi,

Can somebody recommend a good clamp for the rear frame loop, I think its 1" tubing.

Many Thanks

Kevin
