So, Kenny, reveal your deep dark secret performance head modifications for this season. Do tell all. Leave nothing out.

Hoping to see "Tim" get the competition he deserves. Someone needs to slay that dragon. Maybe if we could get Tim on a Honda 450 do you think he would notice? He would probably scare half the field to death on that if well tuned deleting Daytona. No bumping you guys. Let’s have some good competition out on the tracks this year no run always and a Norton win or two. No fair slowing down too much Tim I have seen you looking over your shoulder on the last lap many times.

Well then Ken, the cat is out of the bag, isn't it?

I have sitting on my bench one of the nicest motors a guy could ever wish for.
Thanks to the graciousness of Ken and Fullauto Technologies, in conjunction with Colorado Norton Works and Comstock Engineering, I have one badass, beautiful, and highly effecient flowing cylinder head atop this engine. Our resident flow guru Jim Comstock tried, and tried, and tried again to make it flow better than it already did, and came to the realization that, thanks to the development put in from the get-go, these new heads flow so well as/is that no additional porting was necessary to get me where I wanted to be. This means anyone can pick one up, bolt it on their Norton and go. By the time you amortize the costs of porting, flowing, reangling valves, etc, on an old head, you will have long surpassed the cost of a Fullauto head. It's kinda like "You'll save money and go faster!!"

Now, I can't talk about the top end without talking about the heart of the matter too: I also have been blessed with JS Motorsport's (Jim Schmidt) long rod/raised piston pin setup for this motor, and these too will knock your socks off. Again, another off-the-shelf, bolt-it-on-and-go option for any Norton twin owner that will greatly reduce vibrations, strain on the crank and cases, and reduce side-loading of your cylinders and pistons, by their elegant design of a more efficient rod/stroke ratio. Jim was very helpful in getting me the right bits for my motor, and worked with me on my balance factor specifically for his setup and my Seeley chassis.

And there's more - our friend Ken Canaga from Left Coast Racing, who has always been a huge supporter of my program, once again came through for me this year, selling me some Steve Maney cases and Cylinders, as well as all the other bits to complete the motor.

While I'd like to say I have a bunch of top-secret stuff going on in my new motor, I don't. This is a testament to the time and effort put into the designs of these products from their inception; the combination of which will no doubt be tested to their fullest this year.

There will be much more to come with this as it'll be tested in anger beginning with Road America in June, and on through the rest of the AHRMA 2010 schedule and beyond. This is only the beginning of the development. I will keep my web page updated with some of the testing and tuning bits here http://www.nycnorton.com

Now, since this has turned into a semi-formal announcement, I'd really like to thank (in no order): Ken Canaga and Left Coast Racing, Ken C. and Full Auto Technologies, Jim Schmidt and JS Motorsport, and of course, Matt Rambow at Colorado Norton Works, and Jim Comstock from Comstock Engineering. That's one hell of a team.

Damn... I sound like I won an Oscar! I kinda did.

Thanks guys

-Kenny

Kenny, we need to see a picture of that motor.

I think you still have to go out and finish now.

You got a bike for me to ride at PIR yet?

You have a bike. Just ask C&D if you can borrow the Transit again and come on out.

But seriously you should as Fred at Old Britts to borrow his bike. He's not racing anymore.

Aw, shucks Kenny, you say the nicest things. Your "saying nice things about me" cheque is in the mail. I'm looking forward to the dyno outing. Oh, one thing that you didn't mention is that the original port designs were done by Jim too. Maybe you should get Tim on a Norton too. Then we won't have to slip something into his breakfast cereal.

Wow my ears are ringing..............Build me a norton I will ride it, already run a norton manx but you boys are going to have to really work to hang with a triumph, My triumph at that.:) Haha, Kenny will do all those new parts good, when im not looking back then the race is on:) The motor looks fast too just sitting on the bench.
