No sir something must be delaying Jim's response, he's a serious dude on business and needs it to keep it going. Assume its out of his control d/t some other adventure and will definitely get back to ya fates willing. If ya can't wait I'll send ya my copy and wait on yours, its that good for so so many things Commando and beyond.

There's something goofy here. Jim's very good at customer service. Hobot's offer says it all.

Just wondering, why isn't your friend on here asking the question?

He is really busy grinding my cam and make my pushrods. Just heard from him yesterday. Leave him be. :)

Another thing to consider is international mail. To make things like manuals economical to purchase I often request econo shipping which can take several weeks. Faster delivery can cost considerably more than the manual itself. Vendors could go broke following up on shipping updates for $20.00 items that were shipped via econo service. I think this is one of those situations where a little patience goes a long way.
Although I've never dealt with him after visiting his web page I have the impression he's a solid and sincere dude. We've gotten to know him better on this site so I'd say your friend's money is safe and Jim's too busy to look up. Hopefully he will get to his emails soon and there are no spam filters involved in the communications.

Hi, i am in France and had made always good business with Jim , he is a nice guy and you could be totally confident ......Pierre.

Gday Gino, like the other replys, all positive for Jim. I purchased the tuning manual from him and it took about ten days to arrive here in the land of down under!

Gino,

Jim is not the type to ignore something like this. He's a straight shooter with a good business going. In fact, I just heard from him yesterday, so I know he's still alive! I will send him an email and make sure he's on the case.

P.S. - I vouch for him so much I put his name in my signature!

I would consider the possibility that something went wrong in transmission, and Jim didn't get your message.

Like others, my view of Jim is quite positive. In my case, I tried to buy (indeed, ordered and paid for) some parts that Jim knew wouldn't work for me - I got an email saying so and letting me know that he was refunding my money (which he did).

I'm saving up my money for, and salivating over, his parts right now....

Bought things from his site and from him on ebay. Never had a problem...and when your friend does get the book he should heed the advice. Jim is clearly a guy who does'nt just "talk" about theory and bases his sucess off of actual practice. Those are the kind of guys that are worth listening to.

Thanks guy's for all the responses and for the offer hotbot. I'll pass on the positive reports. Prob a spam filter problem. Great forum this, makes the world much smaller!

Hello Gino Rondelli

Just send me your friends package mailing address and email address so I can make this right.

Its not a perfect world - None of my email has come through saturday and my server tech help is closed till monday. Those emails are lost and this has happened before. If your friend emailed me before that then I must have missed it in the 50+ to 100 spam emails I get every day.

My email address is

jim@jsmotorsport.com

or

jim@jsengineering.net

Or send me a PM through this forum.

If the email is still being problematic

my phone is 559 875 0659

snail mail is

Jim many thanks, PM sent! Looks like you've got a lot of fans out there! Apologies. should have done my homework first!

Gino,
Not a problem, we tend to jump to the defense of the good guys in our world but if you are a known bad guy, watch out (one guy managed to nearly close Chicago for Britbike stuff, I know I won't buy from there unless I get a voucher for the guy I'm dealing with!).
