Job security

There are another 6 heads for engine jobs on the other bench.

Count `em again, then call 'security' if some have walked..
Seriously though, looking good, are the seats an off the shelf item?

I use custom seats from an outfit in Texas. They make whatever size I need. I generally keep a few of the sizes I use the most on hand. Jim

Jim,
I know you are livin' the dream, I just worry we are gonna burn you out!

Russ

With the 6, I count 31. Monk and I don't like odd numbers. Better send one to me (I'll pay postage), just to be safe.

Between Matt and my wife they are working on it. I keep telling them my address is going to change. It would be Josiah's Bay, third shanty on the left, Tortola BVI. I can see it now, a beer in hand , not an end mill in sight......Goodnight all.

Give me your address and I will get one coming. Can you fix cracks at the guide?

Will wood glue work?

Actually I will take it. You see I know a guy in Colorado who can fix anything on a Norton.

Might conjure up an apprentice as trend seems to be eventually if not already more road going Commandos than ever was.

Sorry that idea doesnt work, I tried that, moved to a pacific island 5 yrs ago thinking no one will find me here, now I'm thicker in it than I ever was, if only they didnt invent computers.

Well- I had a young guy all lined up to start work last Monday. He seemed really enthused to start with a broom and go from there..... I am still waiting for him to show up . Guess he must have decided he didn't want to get dirty. Jim

Since all you metal carvers clearly have nothing to do, what
ever was the final word on the gear train replacement for
the chain driven cam?
Triumphs use gears, why not Norton?

I have some tooling on order to try another prototype. I just need more hours in the day. Jim

Never could accept the chain drive cam. Triumph gears are
lovey. Of course Triumph has that dodgey oil pump.
BSA had a good pump but the bush main.
...and Royal Enfield, well.....

Id be very interested in a gear set when you are ready.

Thats crazy. If I was young again I'd be chomping at the Bit to learn this stuff. Now that I'm 'Mature" its even harder to get someone to learn from. Hopefully I'll hit lotto someday and sweep the floor for you :)
