Nothing wrong with chain cam drives per-se, the Triumph system, being twin-cam has some inherent reasons/advantages [balance/backlash & etc] in having a gear drive, but note the Ducati have gone the chain route for their new Panigale.

Gears look better and cost more.
Therefore, they must be better! :-)

Might conjure up an apprentice as trend seems to be eventually if not already more road going Commandos than ever was.

Well- I had a young guy all lined up to start work last Monday. He seemed really enthused to start with a broom and go from there..... I am still waiting for him to show up . Guess he must have decided he didn't want to get dirty. Jim

if only you were a 30 min drive away...

BTW what is your routine approach to dealing with heads? Do ya do same thing to all of them or analyze the specifics for each head?

I have a pretty set routine for most of the restoration type jobs such as CNW's heads. Between Matt and I they get "the works". The rest of them get what the customer and I work out. Jim

Jim, do you have a website that you sell your own products and services from?

No, I don't have a website of my own. CNW lists some of my stuff. I can't keep up now so I have not pursued a website. Jim

Ok there's two categories, assembly line and custom. Three if you make a big boo boo.
