just in case you want to be like Jay (i still think there fugly things, but whatever- and imagine ethanol gas would gobble those tanks right up )

For what it's worth, my udy told me that when Norton closed its warehouse here in Montreal, they had about 30 JPN still in their crates (no one wanted them), they were sold for $900 each

BTW, the tanks are not fiberglass, there is a fiberglass cover that goes over a (badly welded) extended steel tank.

Ethanol won't hurted a JPN. Under the fiberglass facia is a really fugly steel roadster tank that's been cut and elongated with a bad semigloss black paint job. Glued to the steel tank are many foam rubber strips to insulate the fiberglass cover from rattling against steel. M I C K E Y M O U S E :)

The JPN listed on ebay is there for the second and I think third time. I sent him a PM suggesting he had a 74 or earlier bike that probably had been first registered in 75. He basically told me where to go, it is a 75. I don't think he really knows what it is. I am not thoroughly convinced it is a real JPN.

I repeat: 1975? With right-side shift/left-side brake?

I may be wrong, but they were ALL 1974 models, that is why they had the shifter on the right side. The ones sold as 1975s were most likely left overs.
