I machine the points hole to fit the clock properly so any condition of the timing cover is good the more bashed about looks better in my book, scrape marks or dents are a bonus, I take any.
I have a similar item, a clock filling the points housing on a Trident timing cover, my mate made it for me as a wedding present in 84 . Still got the clock !.......................

Yes Triumph ones look good as well also been thinking about a primary case as well, clock in the clutch area and 2 other things in the other holes or maybe something to perdic the weather change a weather vane or somethink like they have on boats maybe, got to much time on my hands lol.
