FWIW the bottom end rebuild components in mine came from RGM. The bike is used hard, and it's all held up well so far.

What components are you referring to Nigel ?

The last time I bought Superblend bearings, I simply got them from my local bearing supplier. From memory there was a choice of cage material - I chose the bearings with the brass cages.

Alan if you quoted the numbers on the bearing that is what you would have got, with no choice, that is what the codes are for , to stop twats like me fitting the wrong bearings!

That stuff you could buy from Aldis and it would be the same as RGM Nigel .

Not sure what you're driving at Jimmy...

The OP was enquiring about these exact parts, and about the quality of them from RGM. Personally I use AN where possible these days, but I used these RGM parts when I rebuilt the Trident Hunter and although I'm not a high mileage rider, I am a bit of a thrasher, and these parts have been fine thus far.

I'm not driving anywhere Nigel, I'm riding!

My apologies if my reply seemed obtuse, but the OP had identified a huge price discrepancy in parts and the parts you bought are pretty standard a FAG bearing is what it is ,as are seals and shells , but you did not mention con rod bolts and they are the items that have a huge price differential and I could not imagine you putting Wassel bolts in your motor.

Wassell bolts ?! Wash your mouth out Jimmy !
Carrillo's old chap...

Even Carrillo bolts have their price discrepansy as the rods can be supplied with either 5/16" WMC bolts or the superior 5/16" CARR bolts :!:
