Bought some stainless hose clamps to replace the originals on my new oil lines. These are pretty compact and sized just right for3/8 line. As I was installing the lines and removing the old orignal clamps I noticed the originals have a solid band as opposed to the slotted worm driven new ones. The originals just have the slot for a flat blade screw driver as the new ones have a hex which is why I went with them. But now noticing the difference I'm wondering if I should revert back to original. I'm getting paranoid after returning my miles anti sump valve. Time for a few fingers of #7. Thanx, Rick

Rick, You can buy the hose clamps that are made for fuel injection lines. They are solid bands with no slots, Ask at NAPA they carry them.

Some of those sloted stainless hose clips are total crap, they only last one use and you have to toss them

I really like these ones, you can buy them with one or two ears.

These are the only clamps I ever use on my own bikes...almost always single ear. Oetiker brand from McMaster Carr.

What do you use to crimp them?
