Did someone on the forum remember mention of a building an "Interstate SS", Interstate tank, SS Seat, pipes etc. I wondered if that ever came to fruition, and what the final thing looked like?

Sorry I've tried the search facility but can't find owt.

I was building a project bike and tested Interstate bodywork on it w/ SS pipes, but ended up building it as a Production Racer replica.

Seat to tank is fixed by the main mount. The flat bracket can be relocated, but you have to do that before you upholster the seat.

The only pix i took w/ I'state tank 7 sidecovers were with downswept pipes so it would like Interstatey...

(I'll double-check)

There was this test series using the High Rider tank & bum-stop seat...

Interstate SS

Interesting stuff, thanks for the pictures. I'd feared the Seat mountings would have to be moved on the seat pan, mines are welded/braised on I think.

The Interstate seat and tank only work with each other, otherwise you either get a gap, or interference.

I'state seat & Roadster tank = gap

Roadster seat & I'state tank = interference
