I just ordered a small hump cafe racer type seat for my Interstate from Burton bike bits (British bike bits). I'm pretty sure this is a new product , it matches the Roadster type they have been selling for years , will let you all know what it's like when it turns up. I doubt any influence here at all but I asked them to make such a product a couple of years ago. UK price @£ 200.

Just the single seat I want for my 961, do you think they'll take another hint? I have a similar Norman Hyde on my Triumph, hints in that direction fell on stony ground .

John, I think the one I mentioned is different? It is a small hump dualseat so able to fit a pillion. They have pics on their website.

I've got the small hump cafe racer seat on my Roadster, also from Burton Bike Bits. I had to fettle the fixing lugs a bit but it's now a perfect fit.
I'd swap it for a standard seat but I've not ever seen one that the nose of the seat snugs up to the tank properly.

Yep, I've got the same on my Roadster. The brackets were ok on mine but I had to remove a couple of them horrible trim fixing clips as they
were pinching the cover too tight. All what you expect really !

From this page on Old Britts which lists all the seats they stock.

When I asked Old Britts about them they kindly directed me to Mick Hemmings as I am in UK and would pay less. I rang and spoke to Angela who knew what I was talking about and took my details so I could order the next time they were in stock. Would like to know who makes them to see what else they do, their salesman dropped into Mick's every 3 months or so.

Both Burton's and Old Britt's are good lookers to my eyes, much better than those horrible Corbin seats.

I have been running Old Britt's seat for years now.. it is great. Padded real nice. Corbin's are rock hard to me.. but I am built like Hank Hill no butt.

hello dommie nator.. i know this topic is about humped seats and i hate to hijack this thread, but i am looking at the picture you posted of your bike. i like what you have done to it and i have 3 questions about things you have done. #1... are the flanged rims both 19" or is one 18" and one 19" ? #2 i like your front fender, where did you acquire it?..#3 is your rear taillight from a triump if so what year? it is exactly how i want to do my 74/850. most norton tail lights i see have the "droop" look and do not seem to follow the lines of the bike..at least to my eye. the picture of your bike is exactly how i envisioned my restoration project. great job! i am not a norton purist but i do like what you built.

The rear lamp was one like this, so yes a Triumph/BSA type for the original Lucas beehive lens. You can buy them with a cutout but I did my own "fettling"
The front mudguard is a CNW item and the rims are flanged alloys and in that picture are both 19 inch.

Well it arrived today and very pleased with it. It fitted great with one bend of a bracket and seems to have slightly less padding than a stock seat, so the bike doesn't look like it's carrying a 3 seater sofa on the back, Well pleased, also fitted a Dart fly screen (intended for T100Hinckley) so enjoyed the day
