interstate and roadster side cover differences

Gents,
Quickie question.....never tried it but can Roadster side covers fit an Interstate. it might be a faux pas but I sort of like the lines of the Roadster side covers. I have a Steel Interstate tank with a standard saddle.

Yes, they will fit as long as they are the late style fibreglass ('71-'72) or the steel ones. If you are interested in making such a change, I have a set of steel Roadster ones I could trade you for your Interstate covers.
