Have a slow leak in my rear tire. Guess I am going to have to bite the bullet and replace the tube. There are two types of valve stems available t4 and t6. Anyone bought one recently know which to get? These tubes are Bikemasters and I've had problems with slow leaks in that brand on one of my other bikes. I see Dunlop's listed but they are about twice the price. By the way tires are Dunlop TT100's.

I will ONLY! use Michelin Airstop tubes, I sent 2 to CNW the other day (along with my hubs) for use in my new wheels. Save $ somewhere else, tubes are (kinda) important.

Check out the info on this thread. The T4 signifies a centered straight steel valve configuration. Anyway, I asked for a T4 and that's what they handed over. I got a Dunlop T4 medium duty, thanks Bluto. It's not one of the 3.5lbs motocross heavy duty ones out there, not only because you don't need them but they seem to have problems of their own. Michelin, Dunlop, Bridgestone, and a couple others are in a second pricing tier. I think this could be one of those, 'you get what you pay for deals.' This might apply to the materials and design.

t4 or t6?? That's a new one on me and never had a stem fit issue on 'many' tubes from all sorts of places and online so get the most common that'd fit a Harley or Honda rim. I ordered tubeless stems from Harley catalog that fit Excell rim sold by Buchananns, who'd ya could call to ask if T4 or T6.

I used to change the front tube annually regardless, the front and rear tube asap after a puncture and subsequent patching. As others have said tubes are not somewhere to save a few bucks.
cheers

Harley dealers carry quality Made in Japan Dunlop tubes that fit for $25 or so....have had good results with them...FWIW they also have good rim strips

An oft overlooked item. If yours are like mine, they like to tear out at the valve stem hole. That's good to know about the Hardly shop, as I'll be changing my thirty-plus-year-old  front K81 next week.
