Has anyone out there has any experience of these brand new Indian made Smiths chronometric speedos available now :?:
Are they any good, or should I keep my money in my pocket :?:

Not bought one but they only look like a Chrono, the internals are magnetic.

Do you know of a website where those can be purchased ? Sounds great. I've had so many chronometeric tachos stuff up through vibration on old bikes..

They're not chronometric, they're tall magnetic instruments of the wrong diameter. They have a slightly late-chronometric style dial as they're fitted either as OE or aftermarket on Indian Enfields. They can't be mounted like a Smiths chronometric.

Think Vaguelia ony horriblier.

The Indian sellers sometimes post pictures of original chronometrics. A chap on another forum got his money back via eBay but as the return postage costs were so high, had to destroy it.

Asked some of the Vincent guys at the Stately Norton Manor gathering about these last summer. Said they are utter crap! They like to spend about $500 for the real deal.

As previously posted, they certainly aren't chronometric, although the dial looks very similar. Avoid at all costs.
When the chronometrics finally get re-made, i'm fairly confident they won't be made in India!
