***IMPORTANT PLEASE READ (but don't panic)***

@Voodooo im pretty sure I remember those wheels as being listed for probably the best part of a year - had you been watching them for a while? I’m asking as I kinda wonder how many they have and how long they’ve been listed.

That info could help people who are considering making an “offer” on eBay for them to get the best price.
Yes , Undoubtedly .

Glad you're sorted. Did you change the wheel, or manage to get a hub?

And why beware? - please explain.
I changed the complete wheel as the spokes seemed larger as well.
Mk 1 discs are not a straight forward fit to the new hubs.
Machining is required (disc mounting holes do not line up)
also you have to check the brake pad wear marking (foot print)
on the Mk1s disc
compared to the new radial brake pad wear marking (foot print)
new type disc.
it seems there are some very small but important differences between
the Mk1 and new bikes.

OK , Thanks for that . When I get mine we will see if is MK1 vs MK2 , or if it is really early hub vs later hub . We will see and I will post .

The wheels I purchased came off a non ABS bike, so I guess it's not a Mk2. Definitely cast rather than machined though. As I mentioned I had issues with the bolts not aligning too and there were witness marks from the previous discs that they had not line up either. I wonder if the factory "adjusted" the discs to fit? From what I can tell there is only one disc for any 961 model, so it points toward the later hubs being incorrectly machined.

Clive's bike is a 2010 with 4540 miles
Mine is a 2011 with about 25000

lcrken bought and installed BST CF wheels for his Norton 961 which was a 2014 model like mine . He made no mention of the brake discs not lining up properly on the new wheels. And MK2 started in 2016 and they were not ABS models. I thiink ABS started in 2017.

BST probably measured the spacing properly 😉 . If ken still has his original wheels it would be interesting to see what type they are and what the PCD of the disc mounting bolts is on those.

Regarding these discs I don’t think it’s to do with the ABS I think it’s to do with conventional forks against upside down forks. Conventional forks have standard brakes and upside down forks have radial brakes.
I did mention this in one of my text long ago about the foot print that the brake pads make,
the std calliper foot print goes to the double holes and the radial brakes foot print goes past the double holes. I
noticed this when I was looking at the wheels I purchased and when I went to the London show
the bike on display was the same (radial brakes) I might be wrong who knows. 🤷‍♂️

We have installed three sets of BST's and have had no issues with alignment at all. 2013, 2014 and 2015

That sounds like it applies more to the radius that the pads are running relative to axle center .

Agreed , and I am anxiously waiting to find out just how bad or good these are . But at some point Norton must have noticed and told them to fix it ! ?

Then my findings should be informative relative to fitting the spoked wheels . Do you still want a separate thread for this ?
I think a thread about the spoked wheels would be helpful to keep it out of the clutter. If the spacing issues on the 2010 bikes turn out to be an issue then that should be noted in some form as well. 2010 issues thread!

We have never replaced any brake disks to look underneath for that spacing issue so Im interested in that as well. I've not heard Stu or Ollie chime in about it either.

As far as I can tell from my own and @Clive-961 's experience it's not the early Talon hubs which have the spacing issue it's the later (stronger) HonHo version. The disc mounting holes are about 3mm closer together.

My 2014 hubs do not look like the hubs on a 2016 . When did the cast hubs come to be used first ? I think 2016 but not sure. I know my hubs don't match whats on Voodooo's 2016 Domi . Does that mean that all front discs mounting holes on these bikes are off ? Are also the rear an issue , you did not mention the rear only the fronts ?

Well so far we have changed out two front wheels and on both the discs didn't line up, so it will be interesting to see what yours are like when they arrive Tony. I have no idea when they changed supplier. I guess the only way to know if from Stu or City Garage who have bikes of all years coming in. I have not fitted the rear wheel yet but definitely will be as there are signs of stress on that too.
