Regarding the MoT 40 year exemption.
Unlike historic tax that rolls forward by one year on April 1st, the MoT exemption introduced on May 20th apparently rolls forward on a daily basis.

I just checked the https://www.gov.uk/check-vehicle-tax online site to see what the tax situation was with the just registered bike. It shows as being taxed from 1 June 2018 until next May 2019, this happens automatically as I did naught about filing a tax form. However, the page will show tax situation AND the MOT situation. But for my bike it shows nothing for the MOT.
It does say it may take five days to show correct information. Ill keep you posted.
