The problem with Ikon Norton shocks such as "basix, dial a ride and albions" is that they only have 2" of travel. So I contacted the company and they set me up with a pair of 13" Flat trackers that have 3" travel. They came provided with custom valving and 702 springs (they said the standard flat tracker valving is too weak for the street). They also have 701 springs but they are supposed to be too wimpy for a street Norton. They are rebuildable and revalveable. The mounts are 20mm wide and have to be narrowed to 19mm by milling machine but other than that, everything should be good.

Here's the specs if you want to DIY but remember the mounts are too wide and need to be narrowed on a milling machine:

Length: 13"

Travel: 2.99"

Re-valve to .014" rebound damping

Black springs, code 702 tri-rated 18/25/33 newtons/mm for 180lbs rider

Black damper bodies

Bushed/sleeved for 3/8" dia. mounting bolts upper & lower

Fully re-valvable/re-buidable design

MSRP $ 350/pr + shipping

Heads up - the 13" Ikon flat trackens compress to a shorter eye the eye mount measurment than the regular 13" Commando Ikon shocks. So if you don't want your tire to rub the fender you may need 13-1/2" shocks. This is actually a plus because it means your shocks will sit the same after you adjust spring tension but will extend more and prevent wheel hop after launching off a pot hole etc.

I ordered 13" flat trackers and was able to angle my shocks forward on my Atlas as well as move the shock mount down with alum plates to prevent tire/fender interferernce. I wanted to angle the shocks in the first place. A third fastener will be added to the plate to keep it secure to the frame (at small centering hole).
