There were lots of power claims at the time
(I didn't notice any difference on my mk2a )
Mainly claiming a few bhp in the mid range
This has been covered on here if you do a search for it
Most dramatic claim was something like 1 1/2 seconds off of a standing quarter on an overwise stock commando
I can't remember all the details
