Yesterday I sold my Triumph T100 project. I had taken it as far as I wanted, ridden it, enjoyed it and decided it was time to move it on. The guy that bought it is a painter and his work is stunning. We discussed paint and finish and all I can say is the bike is in very good hands. I am not a cosmetic guy but it's nice that the bike is going to someone that is.
He came for the Triumph but lost his mind over my Norton. He wanted to know if it were for sale. I told him that everything is for sale at the right time and the right price but I was not willing to part with it just yet. After he left I took the Norton for a ride and reflected on how much I really like it. The mirrors work, the bike idles consistently, the power delivery is nice, the ride position is good and it is the perfect bike for what I use a motorcycle for these days. No, I would not go touring on the Norton even though I probably could. I am just not doing distance riding these days.
No, the Norton is a keeper. The garage is less crowded and having just the one bike feels right. (I do have a tiny bit of regret in letting the Triumph go but that will pass.)
