Stock engine, original airbox, pea shooters, Altair ign. I had to go to bigger main jets with the straight through pipes but that's all. It pulls well and 100 is doable with my 220lb/100kg on it. Anything I do is just to make it reliable or, in the case of the pea shooters, to make it look and sound right. Black caps are just too quiet. Sleeved MC and chrome removed from disc in an effort to make it stop. I still may do something else as the brakes are only just adequate.
They're more than fast enough to keep up with traffic, why mess with them?
My Suzukis would out speed, handle and stop about anything on the road but my MKIII just gives me a big grin every time I ride it. I wouldn't change a thing, except maybe the brakes.
Sadly perhaps, it suits my age.
