I have had some interest in what I used to wire my Combat, so here it is.

The M-unit is on my alloy bike. I have a friend with a harley shop who recommended the Ultima. It was affordable and did what I wanted.

G'day Brent, its all looking very neat and tidy. Once you've worked on and with aircraft a high standard is learned and I can see its been carried through here. Although some bits don't behave as they should, that blue bulb...... lock wire gets handy!
(The Ultima site has lots of good bits including a 140 cuba. My mate has one, very addictive grunt/sound/HP. Another project someday?!)

That lockwire was a temporary stop gap. The holes are a little too big for the indicator lights. I have to unwire them and use some thin grommet material. Its on the to do list.

High Tech Baling wire, fixes everything.

Looks good man. I really like that bike in your avatar. You get that tank from Evan Wilcox?

Nice job Brent,
That job is a source of inspiration for all of us. You should not have any electrical gremlins for years with that set up :)
Just one question, why no oil pressure light, or do you have a gauge or something that I haven't seen?

All the best

How much is the harness running looks like a great system? did see the cost online . Like the no key setup
:D

well Brent I will have to say, it is a MUCH better job than our resident professional restorer.

Thanks for noticing. I used to install aircraft avionics for a living, you get used to a certain level of fit and finish.

bwolfie,
With over 20 years as an Army Aviation maintenance officer, I’ve learned to spot the perfection of the anal retentive. Almost a shame covering it up.

Super job, Wolfie. This should be the standard for any vintage motorcycle rewiring. I cringe when I see posts telling us how they soldered their bike's electrical connections.
