Does anybody have a picture where the horn is located on a 73' commando mk2a no police version, just simple standard? Do i need a bracket ?

Thanks for any help

This is the best I can do...

Not my bike, but a good pic of the back side of a Commando. The bracket with 2 holes shown above the swingarm pivot mounts to the back of the battery box. Another triangular bracket with 3 holes attaches to that and suspends the horn, although that one is considered part of the horn for some reason.

Norton built the motorcycle around the horn... it's way in there, you need to remove the rear fender. Many people relocate it.

Two 1/4" bolts mount the triangular horn plate to the battery carrier bracket.
The horn plate is then secured to the battery carrier bracket by two nuts and washers, the threaded ends of the two mounting bolts also extend rearwards and double-up as rear fender/mudguard mounting bolts, along with an additional two washers and two self locking nuts.

wow, you guys solved two problems :o , i was still study how to mount the fender to the battery tray ! Now is the fog gone.

Thanks a lot and have nice ride
