I took a gazillion pics and still forgot the horn. Do I have it on my 73 - 850 right, and is the horn to face left, right, or down, as you sit on the bike?

Tried it 10 different ways and this is the only way I could get it on, but it's real tight.

Horn mounting

Thanks.....

Yep, that about only way it can go and still just route
hose and wire around it w/o too much rubbing.
Makes some sense with the bell slightly facing down.

Horn is pretty heavy and they tend to lossen the
mount bolt, so take good care with that as a bugger to
snug up later.

Thank you Hobot for that quick, concise, and cogent reply to my question.

Now, get that bike OUT of the house before the Mrs. has a fit.

Hey Herman, usually most experts away from job computers
over weekends.
If you ain't heard by now, the legend has it that Norton
began each bike build by starting with the horn and putting
rest of bike around it.

Once horn is mounted better check it even is hot wired
as they get crud or insect nests and adjustment screw
wear.

All the empty space seen around future Peel, wife had
so full of plants bushes and trees to over winter couldn't
see past bike. Was a bit of tiff to clear bike space.
Came to a truce on warehousing are hobbies.
