I want to fit a louder and more accessible horn. I have a steering damper fitted so space at the top of the down tubes is limited. Any suggestions on horn type and where to put it?

My air horn compressor is fitted just behind the barrel, bracket is bolted to engine mounting stud and the horns are under the air filter.

I use: Amazon product ASIN B01EG18SDE
Much Louder and the pair takes less current than the original. One will easily fit in the normal location if you wanted to hide it, or you can mount one on each side in the Z-Plate area.

The also have single horns with high or low tone, but the set is both tones.

I use a fiam freeway blaster II, really shakes up the phone obsessed teenage suv drivers out there!!
Mounted mine in the oem location without much difficulty.

Never had much luck with a single fiamm horn. You need both a high and the low to get decent results.
I have used a single low note in both my bikes and even a car with excellent results. Secret I believe is to use the included metal mounting strips and place so horn is not in contact with anything. The horns are tuned to resonate best on the strips, so do not bend/deform them.
As loud as anyone one could ever need.

Mike, why don't you just put 'em where you did on your Triumph?

Horns, what are they, no I just mounted a new horn, its the same as the original horn but so much louder only problem not working, silly idiot forgot I had alloy handle bars so got the run a earth wire to the horn button lol.

Is there a modern version of a Klaxon horn ? They were really fashionable. They really added character.

I sell Fiams at work. Brought a pair home just looking for location ideas.

Recently removed my Stebel air horn from a poor location and am looking for a new better location . Uses a relay close to the battery . It's big .

Hey Ashman, why do you need an extra wire with alloy bars?
If the bars are aluminum alloy, they should conduct electricity.
Maybe they are anodised and the coating is non-condutive?
