Welcome to the forum Andrea, This site should have members that can help you, Have a nice day, Chuck.

Hi from California.

I wonder if there is a local Norton club near you? Members often know of bikes for sale.

Hi Andrea and welcome. This is a great forum and it has helped me out a great deal in the few weeks that I've been a member. I'm on my way to Rome on Sunday for a short trip. If you are around and would like to meet up for a drink and a chat, PM me - particularly if you know anyone with tickets to sell for the rugby game at the Stadio Flaminio!!!

Cheers, Bob

Andrea, welcome.

And do not let them fool you - ALL Nortons are good ones. AFTER you fix their little faults....

Good luck, and keep posting. - BrianK

Welcome Andrea, hope you have good luck in your search. This is certainly a good forum for increasing your knowledge on the Commando, very helpful!

Hi from Stu

Welcome to Norton Commando world.
You are obviously a person with taste.
I would recommend you join the Norton Owners Club UK.
This will give you access to the members site and magazine and put you in touch with many Commando owners. Many good bikes change hands within the club that are never advertised elsewhere.
The Club is the best I have ever been with, the Magazine is good and the members are active.
Why not consider going to the Rally in Austria in June?
Do some research into which model you want to buy before you leap in.
There are some crucial differences.
Best of luck!
Big Stu

Hi there!
I finally got my commando. It is a red 1975 roadster.
A bit modern I know..but I like it!
I see on the net exists a cd called "Norton Commando manual CD" which contains a lot of useful material... I have tried to download it but I didn't succeed.. :(

Anybody can help me to get it?

Thanks

Andrea

Ciao, Andrea, beaufiful bike!... from the looks of it it seems to be a MK11A. I also have been a Norton fan from back when I lived in Napoli, and Nortons have always been rare in Italy, but you have managed to find a great looking one.Cheers

Thanks a lot Chris, Cookie and Nortonista...I have arranged a 4000km trip to get this bike in Uk :)

But Nortonista ...are you italian? where do you live?

Regards,
Andrea

Yes, Andrea, I am originally from Italy, but have lived in Northern California for a long time...saw my first Norton( a Manx) on the cover of a notebook that I had in elementary school , but only got to ride one in 1973 (a 69 Fastback) and have been a" nortonista" ever since....of course other bikes are in my life such as Guzzi, Ducati, Benelli, Triumph, but the Commando will always have a special place for me. Have a great trip getting your Commando back to Italy. Cheers, Augusto

Nortonista,

By any chance were you at the Clubman's show? I talked to a couple folks with Norton T shirts down there but didn't get any names.
