Trying to determine the correct sequence of assembling the rear wheel and fitting all parts between the swingarm including what goes where on the sprocket and speedo drive side. I would be grateful if someone can post some close up pictures so i can assemble in the correct sequence. Thanks

Have you tried the oldbritts web site, I'm using my old sony tablet and have difficulty cutting and pasting with it etc... or else I'd include a link to thepage, but the info should be there.

This is the exploded drawing from the MkIII manual, it is a more accurate representation of the order of assembly than the parts book drawing.

thanks gents but which one is correct ? The diagrams are different however I will probably go with the workshop manual illustration as i have the long bolt with the bolt head on the disc side not the threaded stud as per the old britts website illustration

As I think I already said, the manual drawing is accurate, the MkIII parts book drawing is not a truly accurate representation of the parts or the correct order of assembly as the parts diagram shows the oil seal [25] drawn on the wrong side of the sprocket bearing, [27] & [28] are shown drawn at the wrong end of the assembly, the axle should have a solid hexagon at the timing side end, and the washer that goes under it is missing.

The two ends of the swinging arm, the chain adjusters and caliper mounting plate, none of which are shown in either drawing also have to be included in the assembly.

Some MkIII rear wheel assemblies also seem to require an additional spacer washer (between the drive gearbox spacer [11] and the bearing [23]) to prevent the speedo drive gearbox rubbing against the sprocket.
