Help!.....I'm looking for someone local that can help me complete my 1971 750 Roadster restoration. It's about 85% restored. The Gentleman that was restoring it for me passed away suddenly.

Hi....I'm located in Leominster MASS. The gentleman that was restoring my bike had passed away before he could finish it. He was a professional Norton restorer and the finish product was going to be a show/rider bike. thank you for getting back tome....I'm Booby.....nice to meet you.

I had the Norton at Rocky Point Cycles in Hudson, MA. My friend Bill Blake was the gentleman that was working on the Norton. He was a member of this site and well known in these parts.

Pictures of the bike and/or description of what has been done and what remains would be helpful. Also how far are you willing to travel ?
Both Norster and I are in NJ .

Concourse is about an hour from you and Carl H is an hour and a half. Like RT days what needs to be done or pics if you don't know.

Please attend our local club meeting if you are available, April 13, noon, place to be determined, but usually Minga Valley, MA to Southern NH.
I will advise as it draws near.
The value to you would be networking to find the services you want.

https://www.accessnorton.com/NortonCommando/roadscholar.37184/post-625569 Ya see NErider, Mr. Concours even acknowledged Bill's passing, I've never had the pleasure of meeting him, but purchased hardware from him. He posted here, you could probably find all his old posts. I think he went by "Road Scholar". Good move to attend that meeting, you might feel as though you were amongst a bunch of old friends.

I'll have to follow up with Mr Concours........Bill's passing was a shock to me. Even though I knew he wasn't feeling good the last couple of years. He was also working on his own Norton at the time of his passing. His Norton is a beauty too! I'll try to make every effort to attend the meeting. I really would appreciated it if you could advise me as the time approaches.
Best Regards,
Bobby

The state that the Norton is in......the wiring has been completed.......the bike has fired up but only for a few seconds to confirm the wiring was correct. The wiring needs to be buttoned up the tank, seat, and fuel lines need to be installed.....the carbs synced up...........I have all the parts necessary to finish the bike up.......I have the tank and side covers painted by a guy in Vermont that did a fantastic job. The battery needs to be secured down. and just get it road worthy to start the break in period. It's a top notch restoration. All new parts Tri-Spark ignition, powder coated frame, CNW machine hubs and breaker installed by CNW. I've woned it for 12 years now and I'm very anxious to completed as I'm so near to finishing it. It's a really nice machine.
