I'm restoring a 75 MK3 that hasn't run since the late 80's. Today I removed the Primary cover for a look and discovered it has a Sparx alternator stator with no id marks with a stock Lucas Rotor.
Question is, this Sparx unit has 3 wires of which Green/Black and Green/Yellow are joined together plus a separate White/Green wire. I cant tell if someone wired these together by mistake or this is actually a 3 phase unit. It is running a Tympanium Regulator that is wired properly if in fact it is a single phase set up.
