Just wanted to say hello. I'm a relatively new owner.......1974 MK IIA Roadster, candy apple red (hence the silly user name). Wanted one when I was 16, now 54, so it's taken a while. Having spent a few hours scrubbing her up, the old girl is in remarkable nick underneath the grime, so maybe our engineering in the 70's wasn't so bad after all. I have to say, you seem to know one heck of a lot about the bikes, but the bonus is the humour...............you read some of the funniest stuff on here !

One thing that doesn't make us laugh is the serious lack of photos in your first post.

Pictures!

We need to see pictures!

Welcome aboard.

I'm in the middle of doing a paintjob in candy red on my MkIIA...it's a Roadster actually being done in Fireflake Blue (couldn't resist), and as an option for summer touring I got hold of an Interstate tank & panels, which to my eye look great in Candy Red.

Just need some time to get on with it
