Hello and a newbie has a question

Hello to all and I hope I'm not going to be too much of a bother asking the same old questions you have answered before. I recently bought a 1975 MkIII with the electric start missing. A friend told me that a Harley Sportster starter is interchangeable?? He didn't know the years (of the Sportster) or any part numbers. He said it is a Prestolite four brush starter but I can't seem to find any listings. Any help is appreciated and it is good to have somewhere to ask these questions. I'm sure I will ask more than I can answer.

Certain Harley Prestolite starter parts are interchangeable, but the armature and drive end plate are unique to the Commando starter, unfortunately.

Thank you for explaining. I noticed the post on starters after my post. I will look into one of the listed options. If anyone has other options please feel free to advise.
