Headlight re-install

Hi All,

I converted my headlight to a 4H with an Eastern Beaver relay system today. Everything went good until the final step, I've been struggling for over an hour trying to get the the headlight rim back on to the shell. Everything works if I don't use the "W" shaped wire retainer clips around the headlight, as soon as I try them they seem to bind, no matter what position or how many I use.

Both headlights look identical, what am I missing?

I think the W clips can go in two ways (not that I remember which was the right way) I can go and look after breakfast if the conundrum hasn't been solved already.

Those not even able to refasten headlamp rim shouldn't be allowed on Commando, so I got along ways down the road with clear packing tape holding Trixie's in place till later found enough clips to earn my keeping one. W-clips do come in a few sizes if ever replacing. Hope the white of eyes show up on Halogen bulb but in general still candle light tinted.
